Testimonial from an Evening of Music at the Library
June 4th, 2013It was a hot summer-like evening on May 31st, when my husband and I joined others at the Tappan-Spaulding library front lawn for an evening of music, deliciously cool lemonade, pizza donated by Fortunato’s and wonderful cookies. We found the shade of a tree, someone gave us chairs and we listened, clapped and sang along with Peggi Cella and Keith Nichol’s guitar and keyboard to their soulful songs. There was a book table with wonderfully illustrated children’s books one could donate to the library for $10.00 and place a label in the book for a dedication. Everyone was smiling, talking and listening to the great music as the sun set slowly behind the hills. Chimney swifts flew and sang over the beautiful library building and I think Lee Roy Tappan was smiling. Thanks to Carol and Vicki and all the hard working volunteers that make our library so wonderful and give our village events like this. Thank you.
