Dumpster Policy

 

Solid Waste Pick-Up allows you two 32-gallon garbage cans per week. Bags must be clear plastic, and garbage must be placed at the curb by 6:00 AM on Mondays. If you have more than 2 garbage cans you may purchase tags at the Village Office. Tags allow you one 32-gallon garbage can per tag. If you would like Solid Waste Pick-Up please contact the Village Office. You have 30 days to pay after billing; otherwise, services will be terminated. Our Water Billing is billed Quarterly. You will receive water meter cards one month prior to each billing.  If you do not receive a card in the mail with your newsletter, please pick one up at the Village Office located at the Municipal Building, 9 Park Street. You must read your water meter and return the card within 30 days to the Village Office to avoid a no meter-read penalty.  For rates and additional information, see Billing Schedules.

 

Any unpaid Solid Waste or Water Bills will be levied on the Tax Bill.

 

We have an annual Clean-Up Day, usually in May, for our Village Residents to dispose of their furniture, carpets, etc. The Village also has Brush, Grass and Leaves Pick-Up, 5 to 6 times a year. The dates for clean-up, brush, grass and leaves pick-up will be printed in the Newsletter after these dates have been decided.

 

Village Board Meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month at 7:00PM in the Municipal Building, 9 Park Street, Newark Valley, NY.

 

Office Hours are Mondays 10AM-7PM, Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursdays 10AM-3PM and closed on Fridays.
