NEWARK VALLEY DAYS

August 10th and 11thPlease join us this August for Newark Valley Days sponsored by the Village, the Town, the NV Historical Society and the Newark Valley Happenings Committee.  Events will be taking place around the village on Friday, August 10th and Saturday, August 11th.

Friday night at the Depot will include music by Nathan Little—Country East.  Refreshments are served at 6 and the show starts at 7.   We will also have music at the Trout Ponds in the evening by the Lazy Sherpa Ramblers.Saturday starts with the annual NV Days parade at 11.  We will have bands, floats, vintage cars, plenty of fire trucks and much more.

The parade will be followed by music, food and events at the Depot and the Village Green.  Music entertainment will be provided on the Green by the Kirby Band and Night Sounds.  Also visit the Noble Room for the art show and check out the book sale in front of the Tappan Spaulding Library.  The Depot will be packed with lots of activities for the kids.  We will have a giant inflatable Jacobs Ladder and a Bungee run and there will also be face painting and games for the kids.   The Congregational Church on Main Street will host a bounce house, kid’s games, music, desserts in the chapel, and a quilt show in the church.

In the evening, please join us at the Trout Ponds from 5-7 for music by Masterpiece.  High Noon will play from 7:30-9:30.   At 9:30, we are hoping to have fireworks, but we are still short on our fundraising goal.   If you can help, please contact Leslie at 642-5412.  COME JOIN THE FUN and GET INVOLVED
