Rebuilding After the Flood – A FREE Informational Meeting.
Join Cornell Cooperative Extension of Tioga County this Thursday, September 29th at 6:30 -8:30 pm in the auditorium of 56 Main St. in Owego for an informational meeting to help you and your family start the rebuilding process from the September 2011 flood.
Mark Pierce from Cornell University’s Department of Design and Environmental Analysis will be discussing the steps to take when rebuilding after the flood with an emphasis on avoiding future mold problems and residential energy efficiency. Mark’s experience as a contractor and homebuilder combined with his outreach and research work at Cornell make him a valuable resource for homeowners who are in the process of cleanup and rebuilding.
Dee Gamble from NYSERDA Energy $mart Communities will discuss the latest information on rebates that could help you replace your lost appliances. Both speakers will be on hand to take your questions after the presentation and information packets will be distributed.
This event is free and open to the public. For more information please call Cornell Cooperative Extension at 687-4020 to register. All are encouraged to attend.
