Tioga Opportunities – Home Repair available

Tioga Opportunities in partnership with the Owego-Apalachin School District is once again accepting applications for Group Work Camp 2018!
Group Work Camp Foundation is a faith based program that through service to others helps its participating youth to grow. Young individuals learn the importance of helping others and learn valuable skills by performing hands on home repair projects for the elderly, low-income and disabled families of Tioga County under the guidance of experienced adult leaders.
Both labor and materials are free to qualifying households. Some of the repairs that can be completed include porch repair or construction, wheelchair ramp repair or construction, steps repair, interior or exterior painting, mobile home skirting and home weatherization to help with energy cost.
Applications are available at the Village Office in the rear of the Municipal Building as well as on the Tioga Opportunities website: www.tiogaopp.org/services/housing-services.html Application need to be returned to Tioga Opportunities no later than April 15th 2018

Doug’s Fish Fry – Saturday January 20th
January 19th, 2018The Tappan-Spaulding Library will be having Doug’s Fish Fry on Saturday, January 20th from 1:00 pm – 6:00 pm on Park St. here in the Village.
