PLEASE NOTE THAT YOUR WATER METER CARDS ARE ENCLOSED WITH YOUR NEWSLETTER! Please read your meters, fill in that number in the space provided and return the card(s) to the Village Office before May 1st to avoid a $25 penalty.
Great News!
March 25th, 2009The Village of Newark Valley has received USDA Rural Development notification that our proposed water improvement project is eligible for financing. The estimated funding package includes a grant for $1,500,000.00 and an RD loan of $2,718,000.00 with a 2.75% interest rate for 38 years.
This is great news and will ease the financial burden of all of our residents. We are excited about this funding, and working expeditiously on this project to get our system upgraded at the lowest possible cost.
