Due to torrential rains which flooded the Trout Ponds, the evening activities of Newark Valley Days originally scheduled for August 10th
had to be postponed. Please come out on August 24th for Newark
Valley Days – Take 2.
Music will start at 5 with Watts on Tap followed by Sleepyhead around
7:30. At 7, enjoy a dance demonstration from Full of Grace. The
Newark Valley Chamber of Commerce duck race will be held at 4:30.
Watch hundreds of ducks bob down the stream toward the finish line for terrific cash prizes. Just like the original NV Days, we’ve planned lots of food, activities and a bounce house for the kids.
Of course, you won’t want to miss the fireworks show at dusk. It’s Newark Valley Days all over again. Join us at the Trout Ponds on August 24th!
NEWARK VALLEY DAYS UPDATE
August 9th, 2013NEWARK VALLEY DAYS UPDATE
Due to unfortunate events surrounding the weather, the evening activities at the Trout Ponds have been postponed due to flooding.
Please join us on August 24th at the Trout Ponds for the rescheduled fireworks, music and rubber duck race.
The 5K run and bike ride which were starting at the Trout Ponds in the morning will still be held although participants will need to park on the Village Streets adjacent to the Trout Ponds.
All other activities on Friday and Saturday are still on as scheduled including events at the Green, Depot and, of course, the PARADE!
Let’s hope for great weather on the 24th!
