Due to rising solid waste tipping fees and recycling fees from our vendors, the Village Board has deemed it necessary to increase residential garbage rates by 33 cents per week, or $4.00 per quarter. This increase will cover the cost of vendor tipping fees for garbage and the increased rate of recycling collection. The Village’s goal is to maintain optimal service for our residents at as low a cost as possible, but since our vendor has increased their prices, the Village, since it is the administrative passthrough, has to increase prices to maintain these services for our residents.
