This is a reminder that the solid waste and water bills are due Thursday, September 30th.

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that a public auction will be held on Tuesday, October 12, 2010 at 7:05 PM in the Municipal Building Conference Room, 9 Park Street, Newark Valley NY for property owned by the Village of Newark Valley conveyed to it in a deed for parcel number one by Howard T. Jewett and Bernice L. Jewett dated February 8, 1967 and recorded in the Tioga County Clerk’s Office in Liber 330 of Deeds at page 20, and a deed for parcel number two by Howard T. Jewett and Bernice L. Jewett dated September 30, 1967 and recorded in the Tioga County Clerk’s Office on October 4, 1967 in Liber 332 of Deeds at page 584, which property is commonly known as Elm Street, with tax map numbers 64.15-1-3 & 64.00-1-4 in the Village and Town of Newark Valley, with a minimum bid of One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00).

HOURS: 4 pm to 6 pm
The contractors will be working on replacement of the water main on Rock Street, Clinton Street and Silk Street. Water will be shut off when working on service lines. If there is a leak in your service line, you will be notified. They will also be going back to connect service lines on streets previously worked on causing small interruptions in service.
If your water is discolored after the water is turned back on, open a water tap and let the water run until it is clear. Do not wash clothes while the water is turbid.
