UPDATED: New York State Citizen Preparedness Training Program
April 28th, 2014Governor Andrew M. Cuomo, Senator Thomas Libous, Assemblyman Christopher Friend, Tioga County Legislative Chair Martha Sauerbrey and Owego Mayor Kevin Millar invite you to participate in the Southern Tier Citizen Preparedness Corps Training Program that will be held on:

Doors Open at 10am
The program seeks to provide citizens with the tools and resources to prepare for emergencies and disasters, respond accordingly, and recover as quickly as possible to pre-disaster conditions.
Each family that attends will receive a NYS Disaster Preparedness Kit that contains key items to assist individuals in the immediate aftermath of a disaster. The state training and kits will help New Yorkers be the most-trained and best-prepared citizens in the country.
To register for the training, please go to: http://prepare.ny.gov/training-events . Click on the Register box next to the Owego Free Academy event listed and fill out the short registration form. At the end of the form choose the Tioga location from the drop down.
Also, attached is an invite for your reference and WE ENCOURAGE YOU TO FORWARD THIS ON TO YOUR LIST OF CONTACTS. This event is open to the public, but everyone must register to attend and show ID at check-in.
