LEGAL NOTICE
The Village of Newark Valley will receive sealed bids until 4:00 P.M. on June 9, 2009 for the renovations for new village offices.
Data shall be submitted with the bid in sufficient detail to enable the Board of Trustees to determine whether the construction complies with the intent of the specifications which are available at the Village of Newark Valley Office 9 Park Street, Newark Valley, NY from 10 AM to 7:00 PM on Mondays, 10 AM to 3 PM, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. The Village of Newark Valley shall be the sole judge of equivalencies and may reject any and all bids or may award the contract to other than the lowest bidder if sufficient reasons including experience with similar equipment.
Bidder’s must accompany all bids with properly executed Non-Collusion Bidding Certificate, a Corporate Seal, and a Waiver of Immunity, and must include Prevailing Wage, if applicable.
All Bids must be placed in a sealed envelope and marked, “Sealed bids for Office Renovation”. The bids will be opened and read at a Village of Newark Valley meeting Tuesday night June 9, 2009 at 7:00 PM in the Noble Room of the Municipal Building, Newark Valley, NY. The Village Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids.

The Village of Newark Valley has received USDA Rural Development notification that our proposed water improvement project is eligible for financing. The estimated funding package includes a grant for $1,500,000.00 and an RD loan of $2,718,000.00 with a 2.75% interest rate for 38 years.
This is great news and will ease the financial burden of all of our residents. We are excited about this funding, and working expeditiously on this project to get our system upgraded at the lowest possible cost. The Newark Valley Village Board is pleased to announce the award of a Preliminary Planning Grant from the United States Department of Agriculture/Rural Development (USDA/RD) in the amount of $6,000. The funds, which will be matched by the Village, will be used to complete the State Environmental Quality Review (SEQR) process for proposed upgrades to the Village
